TBI: April 1 donors could win $1,000 in VISA gift cards – KAUZ

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – To kick off April, donors giving blood at the Texas Blood Institute will be entered to win one of two grand prizes of $1,000 in Visa gift cards.

TBI officials said anyone who donates at any mobile blood drive or donor center on April 1 will be eligible to win.

All successful donors will also receive:

• Free “treats” t-shirt
• Free limited-edition “My Owner Is a Donor” pet bandana
• One free admission to the Oklahoma City Zoo
• Hollywood Feed coupon, good for 20% off your entire purchase

One donor in April will also win free Acana dog food for a year.

“We’re always looking for fun, creative ways to celebrate our donors throughout the calendar year,” Dr. John Armitage, president and CEO of Texas Blood Institute, said. “We want to show appreciation to our loyal donors who help save lives and giving away $1,000 is a mere fraction of the gratitude we can show them.”

The Texas Blood Institute supports the blood supply inventory for eight major hospitals in the Texoma region. Blood donations typically take about an hour, and one donation can save up to three lives.
