Person in Glencoe asked to buy $800 in Google gift card, request turned to be fraud: Police – Chicago Tribune

An individual reported April 28 receiving a text message asking for a purchase of $800 worth of Google Play gift cards. After the purchase the text was discovered to be fraudulent.

An individual reported April 28 that personal identification was used to apply for a credit card. There was no financial loss reported.
